I live on the Mid North Coast of NSW in a little place called Melinga, in my dream home on an acre with my 4 furkids, Gus (15yo retired Kelpie), Moose (12yo retired BC), Caddy (5yo “in training” BC) and Lyric (the Princess 15 months old baby BC).
I was introduced to Agility at the Manly and District Kennel and Dog Training Club on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, of which I have been a member since 2004, when my Obedience Instructor suggested I take my 12 month old Cattle Dog / Kelpie X to try Agility. Although I never competed back then, I knew that when I got Gus, we would be competing in Agility – no ifs or buts about it…… We have not stopped since then. Before retiring, Gus, Moose and I competed at Nationals in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018, with Gus and I representing NSW in the Teams events at Nationals in both Queensland and South Australia in 2014 & 2016. Since moving out of Sydney I have also now a joined the Port Macquarie Dog Club. I am also a Canine Disc (Frisbee) Judge and love watching and judging agility dogs compete in Agility crossover Frisbee competitions.
I love giving back to Agility and love the thrill of seeing teams tackle courses I have designed so I became an Agility & Jumping Judge in 2015. I also obtained my Games licence in 2016. Since then I have had the pleasure of judging State titles in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and the ACT, judging all levels of Agility, Jumping and Games. I have also judged for most Clubs across the Sydney Metropolitan area and a vast number of clubs around country NSW.
I have seen many changes to course design over the 8 years that I have judged and I love to design courses that are fast, flowing, challenging and of course having safety as a priority. Mostly I love to watch how each and every team tackles my courses.
